Draft for legal review. This document is written in plain language as a starting point. It must be reviewed and approved by a qualified lawyer before the site is published, and it should be re-checked whenever the product or the law changes.

The short list of cookies DavoBooks relies on, and how to control them from your browser.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember you between page loads - for example, keeping you signed in while you move around your dashboard. Similar techniques such as local storage work in much the same way, and this policy covers both.

2. What DavoBooks uses

  • Strictly necessary cookies - required to sign you in, keep your session secure and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. The platform cannot work without these.
  • Preference storage - remembers interface choices such as a collapsed menu, so you do not have to set them again.
  • Security cookies - used to detect abuse and keep accounts protected.

3. What we do not do

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking on this website, and we do not sell information collected through cookies. Fonts and icons used by this website are served from our own domain rather than a third-party content network, so those requests are not shared with anyone else.

4. Managing cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the platform, because the session cannot be established without them.

  • To sign out of the platform, use the log out option in the application menu.
  • Clearing cookies in your browser ends all active sessions on that device.
  • Private or incognito windows discard cookies when the window is closed.

5. Embedded content

If a page ever embeds third-party content, that provider may set its own cookies and its own policy will apply. Where this happens we will name the provider on the page concerned so you can decide whether to interact with it.

6. Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the cookies we use change, and we will change the revision date at the top. Questions can be sent to our published contact address.
